pulce e morta nell'ultimo attacco

Pulce was killed last year by the attack of an Akita-Inu dog of my next-door neighbour.http://www.youtube.com/user/photophototoes#p/u/10/lmzWY3kIasY

The attack was the fourth by this dog and her companion who previously devoured my brother’s dog Artu’ and other two attacks that sended another dog Chicca to the hospital twice.http://piodalcin.wordpress.com/2009/02/27/akita-inu-dogs-attacked-and-killed-my-puppy-again/(read the post I wrote back then when the accident happened)

Last week I recieved notification by my lawyer that the dog owner’s insurance agreed to pay a lump sum  for the accident.

THE CHANGE SHE BROUGHT

When Pulce died I fell into a deep depression. She was really cute, small, full of life. The children in the park loved her for her vitality, she was my seven year’s old daughter best friend, and mine too.

A friend’s advice helped me to chance that feeling of depression into COURAGE TO CHANGE THE COURSE OF EVENTS. and I did.

I took this matter as if it were the last battle of my life and I pursued every way possible to make this injustice end.

I sued the neighbour. I went to the city hall spoke to the major. I wrote to all the local newspaper telling and spreading the voice about the danger of these dogs who killed in the past and killed again. There was a problem and it needed a solution.

I wrote to a local politician, to the national newspapers, to the veterinarians associations, and to everyone who I thought could help me solve this problem.

Finally I got help and the owner was forced to restrain the two Akita behind a gate that was meant to prevent from escaping when the main gate was opened.

I miss Pulce, but few weeks ago  a friend brought home a puppy whom he saved from the road as he was abandoned.

So now she is our new dog and her name is Luna (moon). She is all black with four white socks on her legs.
