Easter Time, for those who believe in Jesus is a very special time; a time for meditation and renewal. I was lucky enough in my life to visit the Holy Land three times. The visit has touched me deeply, as the Land still holds a magical feeling, amidst all the problems, of the glorious past of Prophets and Patriarchs who walked on that Holy Land. Holy for the Christians, the Jews, the Muslims.
There will be a day, I believe, when all religions will focus more on Spirituality than on their own self proclamation. We are all children of the same Universe and religion should not be a matter of fight but a bond of union among men.
Till that day will come I will keep following the religious leader who sponsor this philosophy, not by their words, but by their actions, like Pope Francesco is doing with His wonderful, humble, simple ways that have captured the attention of many around the world, as with the Spirit of Saint Francis, is teaching us that Jesus’s teachings can be actual today more than ever, where solitude and emargination abound as real plagues of our times, where we die by obesity in the Western world while people die of starvation in the Third world and the simple need for water is not met by more than one billion people around the planet.
I will keep following the teaching of HH the +Dalai Lama who wrote yesterday in a +Google+
post:

Pope Francis will clean the Vatican like San Francesco
(by pio dal cin)March 15th 2013 00:18 a.m (Rome Time GMT+1) As Pope Francesco begins His Papacy with a visit to the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome to pay respect to Mary Mother of Jesus. known to the people of Rome as
Even the +Dalai Lama made a +Google+ post to acknowledge that He knows and Loves Saint Francis of Assisi for His discipline, simple ways, and Love for All Creatures.
Being the first Pope ever to choose such a Great Name puts Him on a very important spot. Not easy to manage.
The need for a simple Man that can embrace the Original Message of Jesus through the New Testament withnessed in person by Saint Francis of Assisi was strongly needed in a corrupted and evil world that hasn’t spared even the Vatican in the past decade.
1)Vatican Leaks
2)Pedophile Scandals in the Catholic Church
3)The IOR Vatican Bank Scandals
4)Vatican richness
He has a though job ahead of Him, but His simple ways (He greeted the crowd in St.Peter with a “Fratelli e Sorelle Buonasera”) have already conquered the world. He asked the people who gathered in the Square to Bless Him, before He would Bless them.
How many Wolves will this Pope with Italian Origins will have to encounter inside the Vatican, like
Saint Francis with the Gubbio’s Wolf (see video here)

With the Conclave Extra Hommnes from the Latin word ”cum clavem” (with key) that comes from what happened in 1270 when the people of Viterbo locked the cardinals in the City’s Palace until they reached the election of Gregory X
The process to elect the new Head of the Catholic Church will begin on Tuesday March 12th.
As I stated in a previous post( A fool’s prediction), trying to make a prediction is like to be able to guess the lottery numbers. Anyone can be right or wrong.
I was brought up a Christian Catholic in a very strict way. My name comes from Padre Pio da Petrelcina whom my dad met many times when he was a “small friar” battered by the Church and confined without the permission to Celebrate the Mass as he was becoming popular among the crowds for His “miracles”.
(Mons. Albino Luciani-Pope John Paul the I with my father) I met two Popes personally in my life: Pope John Paul
the I and Pope John Paul the II. (foto copyright pio dal cin 2013)
During my travelling around the World, as a photojournalist I came in touch and I studied
Islam, Ebraism, Buddhism and the Religion of the Native Americans, out of my curiosity of understanding where, if there is one, lies the Truth.
I must admit that I wasn’t thrilled about Pope Benedict VXI; not much for His great personality and profound culture, but for the fact that he “sported” those huge golden crosses on His neck and the “fisherman ring” was big enough to buy a couple of apartments.
I kept repeating to myself that “This cannot be Sacred..” Isn’t the Church supposed to support the poverty as one of the three wows?”
Native Americans have a saying “If it is Sacred it must be Free..” I like this. But how many controversial, not free items are there in the Catholic Church today? Why is the Legacy of Saint Peter obliterated by scandals of the Vatican’s funds of million of Euros?
I learned that the IOR (the Vatican Bank)is the most powerful bank in the whole world.
This should change, in my humble opininion. Saint Francis of Assisi was called by Jesus
to “Repair the Church”“Vai Francesco, ripara la mia Chiesa” and was cited here by Benedict VXI.
Times are very hard and the sex scandals, Vatican Leaks and not so transparent transactions of the Church are “rocking the Boat” like never before.
Given my statement that “You have to be a Fool to make a prediction of choosing a Pope”, I will have another approach and “write a letter of plead to the Holy Spirit“, asking to pick the only one I saw that fits the description of Saint Francis of Assisi: Cardinal Sean O’Malley (read His blog)
LETTER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT: I will start with this Song to the Holy Spirit, that is sung by the Cardinals upon entering the Conclave, to ask for Divine Inspiration.
Dear Holy Spirit,
I am just a grain of sand in the Universe. I understand nothing about the Laws and the Forces that balance the Great Space.
Many Humans call upon Your Force and Greatness. Some call You Great Spirit, other call You Holy Spirit, other do not even believe in You.
During these days the Catholic Church is called to elect the Captain of the Ship.
It is been very hard for me in these past years to believe that Your Holy Presence is among those walls, given all the scandals that we heard about.
It is very hard to boftenelieve that the Spirit of Jesus and of Saint Peter, and Saint Francis of Assisi is behind the gold and richness ofnen shown by those who are called to be Your servants, while there are million of people who suffer in the World.
So here is my humble plea: If You are really among those walls, Shed a Great LIght upon those who are called to elect the new Pope so that His ways will be as Jesus requested of
simplicity and trasparency. a real Sheperd that can show the World that Jesus is still among us human beings in the way HE taught us.
My pick is Sean O’ Malley
(I know that You don’t need suggestions but at least I casted my vote)

People and events who have positively inspired my life
MY FATHER:
Taken prisoner by the nazi during the war he was imprisoned for eighteen months in a work camp in Germany.
He worked twelve hours a day with a daily ration of rotten bread. Freed by the Americans on the 25th of April 1945
he came home; weighed 40 chiloes (approx 80 pounds).
He never gave up, even when he had to spend three long years in the hospital in Cortina d’Ampezzo- Italy- as he was victim of a rare disease that constricted him with a cast on his hospital bed for the three years he was hospitalized.
Eventually he contacted a local radio asking for company as he was feeling frustrated and lonely. Maria Teresa was on vacation there in this beautiful dolomites’ sky resort and she heard the call. They met. They married. They had three children Bernardetta, Antonio, and I who was named after Padre Pio from Petrelcina whom my father met several times when he was still alive.
My father and my mother have been of great inspiration to my life as they believed in Life as a great Gift of The Creator. They tried to be parents and friends to all people they met, with the Love that comes from the Love of God.
(my fater in the pictures is the one in the middle of two other working on the wine cellar)
POPE JOHN PAUL THE FIRST AND POPE JOHN PAUL THE SECOND
I have the fortune of having met both in my life. John Paul the First, I knew better as “Papa Luciani” Albino Luciani was the Bishop of the Archidiocese of VIttorio Veneto in 1966 when I had my “confirmation” ceremony. I met him that very day and other times as a Bishop, later as the Patriarch of Venice. He inspired me for his semplicity and his fatherly manners.
Pope John Paul the Second- Karol Woytila-
Here in this picture he is shaking hands with people who gathered at his vacation place in Lorenzago- Italy.
I worked as a photojournalist and I was taught not to get involved with the pictures I was taking.
When he came my way I could not resist his positive “magnetism” and I dropped my camera to kiss his hand.
MARCELLINO GLORIA
Nobody knows him. He was a homeless ex- piano teacher who stationed outside the train terminal in Venice Italy when I worked there as a reporter for a year in 1985.
He was a simple man with a great sense of dignity. He never asked me for money or drink. he just talked to me because I enjoyed listening to his story.
His beautiful face (seen here on the picture header of my blog and on the photo gallery as the man with a white beard) reminded me a lot of Santa Claus. He insipred me for his determination to live outside, in the cold, refusing any help that was given him, as a shelter or as aplace to stay. He preferred the outside (like I always did) and the freedom sense that comes from him.
CHRISTO THE ARTIST WHO WRAPPED THE ISLAND IN MIAMI
I was driving my taxi down Miami Beach’s Collins Avenue in 1983 and before I got to the Haulover Shopping Center on 95th and Collins, I saw these eleven islands surrounded by a pink fabric. I stopped my cab and couldn’t get back to work for five days. Took thousands of photos. Eventually meditating on this event led me to the most important job of my life and I became a photojournalist. This event positively inspired my choices.
EVERGLADES BLUES
Rented a boat to take pictures of the alligators in the Everglades National Park in Florida. I lost control and fell into the water. Surfaced I found the propeller of the boat slicing my arms and head.
Eighteen days in the hospital with the menace of losing my right arm in case an infection developed. I learned how important it was to have two legs, two arms, two eyes.
When eventually I was dismissed with all my limbs. I considered myself blessed for being all in one piece, and that experience positively affected me so that from that day I begun my best and mostcreative period of my life for taking pictures and enjoying the beauty of being Alive.

To all corrupted politicians in Italy. On your last day, you’ll regret your behaviour
(by pio dal cin) To all the corrupted politicians out there. Listen to the voices of the People of Italy crying for some relief. Before you are a politician you are (or at least should be) a MAN.
Next time you hoover over a City with your helicopter on the way to make a multimillion euro deal, think of the person in despair because he just lost his job, or because the enterprise he started with great sacrifices is about to collapse, maybe for a bill, or a law that you voted.
Think of a mother trying to feed the children with less than a thousand euros a month, while you are getting a message on your Iphone telling you that your 90thousand euro pension has been deposited in your bank account.
Think of a young couple who will not be able to start a family because the Bank just denied them a mortgage as they only have one paycheck a month and it won’t be enough.
Think of all the money you stole, and you are stealing from the poor people. One day you are going to die too. You will die rich and perhaps you’ll regret on your death bed not having being able to be honest and it will be the moment you’ll meet your Creator, it will be the saddest moment of your life.
Honesty
To achieve honesty within yourself,
To recognize who and what you are ,
Do this and you can be honest with all others
Humility
Humble yourself and recognize that
No matter how much you think you know,
You know very little of all the universe.
Truth
To learn truth,
To live with truth, and
To walk with truth,
To speak truth
Wisdom
To have wisdom is to know the difference between good and bad, and
To know the result of your actions
Love
Unconditional love to know that when people are weak
They need your love the most,
That your love is given freely, and
You cannot put conditions on it
Or your love is not true
Respect
Respect others, their beliefs, and
Respect yourself.
If you cannot show respect,
You cannot expect respect to be given
Bravery
To be brave is to do something right,
Even if you know it’s going to hurt you.

Grillo e l’Italia.
Avrebbe fatto meglio a stare nelle retrovie in silenzio o quasi come stanno facendo:
GRILLO.
(pio dal cin. all right reserved °copyright 2013)
Judge gives Einhorn victory over Apple
Judge gives Einhorn victory over Apple
A federal judge on Friday handed hedge fund manager David Einhorn a victory over Apple, blocking the Silicon Valley company from proceeding with a shareholder vote on a controversial proposal that would limit the company’s ability to issue preferred stock.
U.S. District Judge Richard Sullivan in New York granted a motion by Einhorn’s Greenlight Capital for a preliminary injunction stopping the vote on that proposal. The vote was scheduled for Feb. 27 as part of Apple’s annual shareholders’ meeting.
Sullivan said Apple was wrong to bundle four amendments to its corporate charter into one proposal for a vote at next Wednesday’s annual meeting. Shareholders should get to vote on the amendments separately, he said.
Greenlight Capital, Einhorn’s hedge fund, sued Apple over the proposal because it would remove the board’s ability to issue preferred stock without shareholder authorization. Einhorn wants Apple to issue “iPrefs,” preferred shares with a guaranteed dividend, as a way of committing the company to sharing some of its cash hoard with shareholders.
Einhorn has been trying to rally Wall Street to vote against the Apple proposal as a way of showing their displeasure with the company’s capital-allocation policies.
Apple has $137 billion in the bank, an unheard-of sum that grows by about $40 billion every year. Investors almost universally want Apple to hand out at least some of that cash, but Einhorn hasn’t gotten much support for his “iPrefs” idea or his “No on Proposal 2″ campaign.
Apple and Greenlight didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment Friday.
Last week, Apple CEO Tim Cook said the company’s proposal puts more power in the hands of shareholders, making it difficult to understand why a shareholder would fight it. Calling Greenlight’s campaign a waste of time, Cook said Apple wouldn’t squander money by mailing letters to shareholders to persuade them to vote for the proposal.
The California Public Employees’ Retirement System, the country’s largest pension fund, had said it would vote for Apple’s proposal, because it would have strengthened shareholder rights. Among other measures, it would let shareholders vote against directors.
