Pope Francis will clean the Vatican like San Francesco

Maria Salus Populi Romani.


 
Pope Francesco boarded a simple car instead of the Official Vatican Car and with a simple bouquet of flowers in His hand went to the Church to pray silently for about ten minutes in front of the Altar.
 
His simple ways highlited here by The New York Times appeared immediate as He choose his papal name as Francesco as the Greatest Saint in the History of the Church.

Even the +Dalai Lama  made a +Google+  post to acknowledge that He knows and Loves Saint Francis of Assisi for His discipline,simple ways, and Love for All Creatures.

Being the first Pope ever to choose  such a Great Name puts Him on a very important spot. Not easy to manage.

The need for a simple Man that can embrace the Original Message of Jesus through the New Testament withnessed in person by Saint Francis of Assisi was strongly needed in a corrupted and evil world that hasn’t spared even the Vatican in the past decade.

He has a though job ahead of Him, but His simple ways (He greeted the crowd in St.Peter with a “Fratelli e Sorelle Buonasera”) have already conquered the world. He asked the people who gathered in the Square to Bless Him, before He would Bless them.
How many Wolves will this Pope with Italian Origins will have to encounter inside the Vatican, like

With the Conclave Extra Hommnes  from the Latin word ”cum clavem” (with key) that comes from what happened in 1270 when the people of Viterbo locked the cardinals in the City’s Palace until they reached the election of Gregory X

The process to elect the new Head of the Catholic Church will begin on Tuesday March 12th. 
As I stated in a previous post( A fool’s prediction),  trying to make a prediction is like to be able to guess the lottery numbers. Anyone can be right or wrong.


I was brought up a Christian Catholic in a very strict way. My name comes from Padre Pio da Petrelcina whom my dad met many times when he was a “small friar” battered by the Church and confined without the permission to Celebrate the Mass as he was becoming popular among the crowds for His “miracles”.

During my travelling around the World, as a photojournalist I came in touch and I studied 
Islam, Ebraism, Buddhism and the Religion of the Native Americans, out of my curiosity of understanding where, if there is one, lies the Truth.

I must admit that I wasn’t thrilled about Pope Benedict VXI; not much for His great personality and profound culture, but for the fact that he “sported” those huge golden crosses on His neck and the “fisherman ring” was big enough to buy a couple of apartments.

I kept repeating to myself that “This cannot be Sacred..” Isn’t the Church supposed to support the poverty as one of the three wows?”

Native Americans have a saying “If it is Sacred it must be Free..” I like this. But how many controversial, not free items are there in the Catholic Church today? Why is the Legacy of Saint Peter obliterated by scandals of the Vatican’s funds of million of Euros? 

I learned that the IOR (the Vatican Bank)is the most powerful bank in the whole world.


This should change, in my humble opininion. Saint Francis of Assisi was called by Jesus
to “Repair the Church”“Vai Francesco, ripara la mia Chiesa” and was cited here by Benedict VXI.

Times are very hard and the sex scandals, Vatican Leaks and not so transparent transactions of the Church are “rocking the Boat” like never before. 

Given my statement that “You have to be a Fool to make a prediction of choosing a Pope”, I will have another approach and “write a letter of plead to the Holy Spirit“, asking to pick the only one I saw that fits the description of Saint Francis of Assisi: Cardinal Sean O’Malley (read His blog)

LETTER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT: I will start with this Song to the Holy Spirit, that is sung by the Cardinals upon entering the Conclave, to ask for Divine Inspiration.






Dear Holy Spirit,

I am just a grain of sand in the Universe. I understand nothing about the Laws and the Forces that balance the Great Space.

Many Humans call upon Your Force and Greatness. Some call You Great Spirit, other call You Holy Spirit, other do not even believe in You.

During these days the Catholic Church is called to elect the Captain of the Ship.  

It is been very hard for me in these past years to believe that Your Holy Presence is among those walls, given all the scandals that we heard about.

It is very hard to boftenelieve that the Spirit of Jesus and of Saint Peter, and Saint Francis of Assisi is behind the gold and richness ofnen shown by those who are called to be Your servants, while there are million of people who suffer in the World.

So here is my humble plea: If You are really among those walls, Shed  a Great LIght upon those who are called to elect the new Pope so that His ways will be as Jesus requested of
simplicity and trasparency. a real Sheperd that can show the World that Jesus is still among us human beings in the way HE  taught us.

The Google Glasses will, of course, have a smaller screen than a PC. But the glasses will also have a smaller screen than any smart phone on the market. The viewing area is minimal, and it only resides on the right hand side. Because of this, everything that is rendered for Google Glass will be incredibly small. This will create a whole new medium for Web viewing and usability. Google and third-party interests will need to explore different ways to perform actions and render data.

2. Less Browser Changing

Google will, of course, make their browser available first for use through Google Glass, and this will result in most users sticking with that browser. However, it is safe to say that new browsers will most likely be introduced later. Regardless, this will mean more market share for Google-owned browsers.

3. Less Switching Of Applications

When we are on smart phones, we often switch from app to app to accomplish an objective. With Google Glass, we can expect to start with a core set of abilities that are inherent to the operating system. Following this, applications will be introduced and their use will grow. While this is true, Google will get the first crack at developing all the functionality needed for the device, much like the advantage Apple had with the iPhone. If Google can do this well, they will limit the need for new apps and gain more control of this new market.

4. A Greater Need For Voice Recognition Technology

Most of the usability in this device is activated based on voice recognition. Google has improved their abilities here, but voice recognition and activation technology is still very new and buggy. Google will need to continue to improve and expand the capabilities of this technology to make the product successful long-term.

5. Smart Phones & Websites Racing To Integrate

Google Glass is scary to everyone. You can bet Apple, Microsoft and other big players are having meetings right now (or have already) to develop an ad hoc Google Glass strategy. They are asking, “Do we create our own technology to compete? Do we look for ways to integrate? Or, do we just sit back and watch?” These companies are heavily invested in the smart phone battle right now. Google Glass means a whole new opportunity to create a new generation of devices. Each one of these companies is no doubt developing a strategic plan.

6. New Advertising

Google appears to be offering this product with no ads to start. They are generating a little revenue from the sale of the device, but they will be creating ads at some point. When they do, a new ad format will need to be developed. This is going to be a tough one for Google. Creating an ad that is non-intrusive but also one inch from someone’s face is not easy. But trust me, they will find a way.

7. More Eye-Movement Focused Applications

Google has already patented a new eye tracking technology that basically follows the eye, and thus, can control the camera. According to techradar.com, “Several methods of tracking eye movement are provided, including projecting moving objects and displaying a path, such as a zigzag or partial circle pattern, for the eye to follow.”
While at this point, this technology is only being utilized to unlock the head-mounted display, there are many more implications. This could be used to play a racing game, move a chess piece, organize an excel spread sheet or perform an action (ex., move eyes to the right for “yes” or to the left for “no”). This eye movement technology, as it is developed, will be a great help for using the device when you don’t feel like speaking. It will also allow for some fun ways to interact with different device offerings. Finally, as users become more accustomed to eye tracking technology we will see it increasingly utilized in all technologies.

8. Social Media Will Need To Adapt

Google Glass is a game changer for social media. You know it, and I know it. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google +, LinkedIn, FourSquare, as well as other sites, will all need to develop strategies to deal with this new technology. Will the social sites allow for easy uploads? Will they have an area of their page that shows the person’s live feed when it is turned on? Does Facebook race to create their own device? One thing is for sure, if a social media site cannot interact properly with this technology, they risk losing users. Google knows this and will undoubtedly be creating seamless integration with Google +. At this stage, it would seem that Google + has the most to gain from Google Glass.

9. GoPro Will Suffer

GoPro has been an amazing venture to watch. A simple camera with better mobility and water resistant capabilities turned into a worldwide phenomenon very quickly. Google Glass is going to be a serious competitor for GoPro. Sure, Google Glass is much bigger than just video, but the two devices can accomplish the same goals, and to me, Google Glass looks a little less bulky.

10. SEO Will Change Yet Again

While right now, it appears that the search function is limited. Google will, of course, be offering full search abilities at some point. With the incredibly small visual interface, search listings will render a small amount of data, and overall, the way results are presented will change. I don’t want to go too in-depth on this one without more information, but it is clear things will evolve to fit the technology.

Wrapping Up Predictions

These predictions are simply ideas based on my experience in Internet marketing. They may not all be right, but there is nothing wrong with considering the implications of Google Glass. Previsioni sulla politica italiana per il futuro:
Il pdl verra’ sciolto e ritorneranno a formarsi i partiti che lo hanno composto, rivendicando la loro autonomia e andando a creare nuovi poli che andranno ad allearsi a comporre nuove alleanze. La Lega si scindera’ in due o piu’ correnti altrimenti e’ destinata a perdere ben piu’ consensi, vista l’impopolarita’ di certe decisioni come quella dei ministeri al Nord che non servono assolutamente a niente rispetto ai problemi concreti della gente. Maroni diventera’ il nuovo leader del carroccio e forse anche il nuovo primo ministro del dopo berlusconi. Gli Italiani chiederanno un referendum per abrogare le ricche paghe dei parlamentari ed i loro privilegi.La sinistra privata del suo bersaglio preferito berluscono continuera’ ad arrovellarsi cercando un programma vero per governare con i suoi “dinosauri” senza riuscirci e trovera’ un nuovo bersaglio sul quale scaricare le sue frustrazioni. Grillo continuera’ a cavalcare il malcontento “monetizzando” con i banners del suo cliccatissimo blog. Omicidio stradale qualcosa si muove

Sembra che finalmente qualcosa si stia muovendo in campo legislativo per impedire che chi uccide in strada sotto effetto di alcol o droghe o per bullismo stradale venga punito con il reato di omicidio stradale che di fatto aumenterebbe i deterrenti per chi vuole mettersi alla guida in tale condizioni. Lo avevamo auspicato anche noi su Facebook aprendo un gruppo “basta patenti a chi ha gia’ ucciso sulla strada” che ha raccolto lo sfogo di cittadini stanchi di una situazione che dev’essere cambiata al piu’ presto. In Italia muoiono in media circa 4000 persone OGNI ANNO. Se questa non e’ guerra……forse sarebbe meglio impegare l’esercito sulle strade Italiane invece che in Afganistan

Nuove Regole per la Sicurezza Stradale – Una dimenticanza Vitale-

Da un paio di settimane ho fondato un gruppo su Facebook  http://www.facebook.com/?sk=2361831622#!/group.php?gid=112011118847994  che ha raccolto fin’ora circa cinquecento iscritti.

Ho fatto un appello ai politici perchè si iscrivessero anche loro, ma a parte qualche gruppo della Lega Nord, nessun politico di spicco ha messo ancora fuori la testa per appoggiare questo gruppo, lo scopo del quale è molto semplice e presto spiegato.

La cronaca, si sa, è piena zeppa di incidenti stradali, causati da ubriachi, drogati, bulli della velocità. Ben vengano le nuove regole più restrittive, che sicuramente contribuiranno ad un miglioramento della sicurezza. Manca, a mio avviso una norma molto semplice ma che di fatto ridurrebbe drasticamente il numero degli incidenti, e soprattutto il numero di gente che dovrebbe stare al massimo alla guida di un triciclo.

E’ successo spesso che un drogato, un alcolizzato, un pazzo del volante abbia ucciso uno o più persone e, dopo un periodo più o meno lungo di sospensione della patente, questa gli sia stata restituita, restituendo così alle nostre strade una MINA VAGANTE, una PISTOLA CARICA, puntata sulla folla inerme. QUESTO DEVE FINIRE!!

Il gruppo( che ho fondato sulla scia emotiva del terribile incdente che a Valdobbiadene (TV) ha stroncato la vita della giovane bimba di 5 anni Serena, falcidiata da un “autista” che sembra percorresse la strada del centro del piccolo paese a quasi 140 all’ora) si propone di arrivare ad una legge che di fatto privi questo tipo di “autisti” (ubriachi, drogati, bulli) dal rivedere MAI MAI MAI PIU’ LA PATENTE.

Che vadano a piedi, in autobus, in bici o si facciano accompagnare. Come ci sentiremmo se tra qualche anno scoprissimo che lo stesso autista, riavuta la patente uccidesse ancora?

E’ già successo, più di una volta nelle cronache e non deve più succedere!!! CHI UCCIDE  ALLA GUIDA IN STATO DI ALTERAZIONE DA DROGA, ALCOOL O PER SEMPLICE BULLISMO DELLA VELOCITA’ DEVE PERDERE IL DIRITTO A GUIDARE PER SEMPRE!!!

E quì mi appello ai politici, locali e non. Non nascondetevi!Uscite e fatevi conoscere, aiutateci in questa battaglia atta a fermare il massacro. Come vi sentireste se la persona investita ed uccisa fosse uno dei vostri cari? Serve una presa di posizione forte contro questi KILLERS POTENZIALI. Bisogna individuarli e TOGLIERLI DALLE STRADE DEFINITIVAMENTE!!!!

Altro non posso fare che rilanciare il mio umile ma ARRABIATISSIMO tam-tam mediatico, e continuerò a farlo, fin tanto che qualcuno non raccoglierà questo appello. La giustizia comincia anche dal promulgare leggi che servano a creare una società più giusta e vivibile, e in questo momento, in Italia manca una legge che impedisca a questi ASSASSINI di ritornare ad uccidere.

Un’auto impazzita che piomba su una folla, è la stessa cosa di un terrorista che entra in un centro commerciale sparando a casaccio sulla folla. Non è esagerato il paragone se ci pensate bene. Bisogna che questo finisca al più presto.

Facebook Gruppo – BASTA PATENTI A CHI HA GIA’ UCCISO- Appello ai politici-

Ciao a tutti. NOn ho ancora visto nessun uomo politico di spicco iscriversi a questo gruppo fatta eccezione per alcuni gruppi della Lega Nord, non ci sono politici di spicco che si sentano di entrare a far parte di un gruppo come questo che chiede solo che vengano addottate leggi un po’ abbastanza di più ancora, severe in modo che le strade possano un giorno essere più sicure. Un’utopia? Non credo, basterebbe l’impegno e la buona volontà, certro che di tempi come questi si da la priorità a cose più “importanti” come la ripresa economica,la disoccupazione ecc.. Ma se riuscissimo solo a salvare una vita applicando delle leggi giuste avremmo fatto solo il nostro dovere.E’ comprovato che l’unico deterrente ai pazzi della strada sono le sanzioni più forti e le leggi applicate con severità… cosa aspettiamo allora che ci siano dieci, venti, trenta morti al giorno. Ad onor del vero bisogna dire che qualcosa è stato fatto, ma è ancora troppo poco. Chi si mette al volante convinto di essere un dio in terra dev’essere messo in condizione di non nuocere più e deve andare a piedi, specialmente se ha già ucciso. Immaginatevi il dolore di una famiglia, degli amici, dei conoscenti di una persona uccisa sulla strada da un deficiente che usa la macchina come una pistola carica puntata a casaccio…. Gaza Strip photo story

These pictures were taken by me in 1991 in the Gaza Strip. It was very hard to go inside as a photojournalist because both sides (Israeli and Palestinian) looked at me with great suspect. I finally managed to make it inside and I encountered great poverty. The roads were all smashed up and covered with mud. Children were playing next to the trash. It looked to me like a very very poor place to live an “open sky sewer” I remember writing when I came back with my assignment.  I do not know if things have changed now…I have not been back there ever since.

A Life lesson from an Old Tree

This is an old Cedar of Lebanon . It’s huge, and as I learned from Native Americans, deserves all our respect as if it were an Old Person.

I was walking away from the park where the Tree lives and I stopped under it, admiring its greatness.

I approached it and with great respect I removed a small piece of  cortex and played with it between my thumb and index, thinking and hoping that this Great Tree would teach me a lesson.

As I was pressing on the little piece of bark it crumbled in pieces.

So there was the lesson from the Big Tree:

“Things or Persons that may look strong and indestructible (as this Big Cedar) are often fragile beyond any expectation we  have. Also the contrary is true though… Thing that are fragile at the first touch or approach can surprise us with tremendous strength.”  The lesson learned is NOT  TO JUDGE PEOPLE OR THINGS BY THEIR FIRST ASPECT.

Thanks to the Great Cedar of Lebanon for this life lesson that I would like to share with my friends here on this humble blog of mine.

Zent de strada- Marcellino Gloria- El pi bel “Barbon” che ò mai conossù

De tute le foto che ò vu la fortuna de scatar, quele che me à dat pi sodisfazion no le è certo stade quele dei atori cantanti omeni o femene famosi, capi de stato o papi, ma la Zent che se trova in strada.

A New York, Miami, Conejan, Betlemme, Praga, Codognè, Berlino, Zagabria, Santa Fe' Los Angeles, o a Zimeta me à sempre attirà le facce e i visi segnadi della Zent de strada…. Visi che te conta na storia solche a vardarli….

Al pì dele volte i è "barboni" (li ciamen cussì, ma a volte i veri barboni sen noialtri) che i à sti oci che te varda e i voria contarte la so vita, ma sembra che no sie massa bastanza temp par scoltalrli.

Al pi bel de tuti i volti de strada che ò fotografà, le statt Marcellino, Marcellino Gloria; eccolo qua' fotografà pena fora de la stazion dei treni a  Venezia.F1000081

Quando che ò comincià a far al reporter, andee ogni dì a Venezia in te un studio fotografico vizin a Piazza San Marco (fotoattualità). L'era un studio che el fea le foto par al gazetin, e mi me interessea imparar le varie tecniche de sviluppo e stampa e "taglio giornalistico" de le foto.

Ho ciapà al treno tutti i dì, par un anno.  Marcellino l'era sempre là, in tea prima panchina a sinistra, vegnendo zo' da le scale dea stazion.

Nol domandea mai ne schei ne altro, ma se vedea chel vea bisogno de tutt…

Un dì.. me son fermà e ghe ò domandà se ghe servia qualcossa, lu al me à dita che l'era a posto e dopo qualche minuto al à tacà a contarme la so storia….

No la divide quà, parchè, anca se Marcellino adess l'è in Paradiso, me despiasaria metter la so storia in pubblico.. Quel che importa l'è che lu, nonostante la dificoltà de viver su na strada, l'à sempre conservà na dignità che se ghe la leze sui oci…F1000080

Marioprode 027 Se un personaggio verace l'è restà a Codognè questo l'è Mario Carnelos detto Mario Prode.

Chi elo che nol conosse sto ragazzon co la barba e coi cavei longhi che l'à sempre el sorriso stampà in faccia  e che l'è famoso sopratut par na roba: I SO DISCHI.

Mario l'à incomincià a  far la collezion de dischi in tel 1969 e no l'à pi smess.

Te pol andar a domandarghe qualsiasi titolo,qualsiasi autor, italian o straniero che lu, te pol star sicuro  el te lo trova fora…in tute le verision posibili imaginabili… vinile, cd, assetta  eccetera.

Ogni so sforzo in tel tempo libero lo à concentrà a far na raccolta de dischi che scommetto che saria

fadiga trovarghene naltra compagna in tutta italia.Tanti ani fa ghe vessi fat anca un articol sul gazetin…. Me ricorde che andando a farghe le foto a casa sua, al vea dischi in cusina, in camera, soto el let e anca in bagno, parchè dove che el vive no l'à tant posto da meter tutti i so dischi.

Al de là de la collezion Mario l'è veramente na persona disponibile, mi al conosse da quaranta passa anie deve dir che lè veramente difizil trovar na persona cussì solare e disponibile al di de incuò.

F1000179 F1000180 Circa venti anni fa, quando che lavoree come reporter, Don Giovanni Dan allora direttor de l'Azione de Vittorio Veneto al me à domandà se volee andar a farghe qualche foto alle suore de clausura de San Giacomo.

Naturalmente ghe ò dita de si ( a chei tempi no disee mai de no se l'era calcossa de novo da veder o da fotografar).

Ho dovù farme far l'autorizazion da l'allora Vescovo de Vitorio Mos. Ravignani e dopo son andà dentro al convento.

El posto al me à piasest suito. L'era na pace, un silenzio, un bel verde. La parea l'anticamera del Paradiso, se stea proprio ben.

Col permesso dea Madre Badessa , dopo verme presentà, ho fatt tante foto e Don Giovanni al me le à publicade suito.

Da chea volta no le ho mai fatte veder pi a nessun… Prima par un senso de rispetto che ghe dovee a queste Sante Persone che l'è le suore de clausura. Ho sempre ammirà come che le posse dedicarse tutta na vita a pregar stando dentro in tel stesso posto, veramente GRANDI PERSONE.

Secondo parchè no volee dar in "pasto" ai giornai dele foto che varia in qualche maniera esposto la fragilità e la sensibilità de le suore.

Adess che ho fatt al blog in Veneto ò pensà de farghe  un omaggio a ste Grandi Persone e vist che l'è passà tanti tanti ani, son sicuro de no farghe un dispiazer o de offender nessuna de le sorelle che era presenti quea lontana primavera che ò vù la fortuna de fotografarle.

F1000136 Una de le persone che me ricorde co tant piazer l'è Gino Lot.

Un Scarper co la S maiuscola de quei de na volta che ormai i à butà via el stamp….

Gino l'era anca un de i pi bravi pescadori de Codognè e quando che lu al 'ndea a pescar nol tornea mai a man vode.

Un dì, come tante altre volte son ndat dentro al so boteghin in via aldo moro, e ghe ho fatt ste foto che vedè qua'.F1000132

Gino Lot… una brava persona de Codognè. 

Naltra persona ala quale ere veramente affezionà l'era la Beppa Tonelo. L'era na veceta simpatica che la stea in te che la casa vecia che i à butà zo prima de rivar dal municipio sula destra, dopo passa' el negozio de barbier de Adelfio.

I Comuni pi sicuri

IMG_3464  Na volta  i Comuni in Italia i era dei picoli staterelli e i se gestia la vita da soli in maniera autonoma…i vea i so muri e par entrar bisognea passar na porta e farse riconosser…

Adess mi no vui dir che se dovaria tornar indrio cussi de tanti ani (parlen del Medioevo) ma se se podesse tirar indrio le lancette del temp, mi le portarie indrio de almanco na zinquantina de ani se no de zento.

Co se era picoli (mi ho zinquanta do ani adess) me ricorde che se assea verta la porta tuta la not e no se sentia mai dir che i fusse andadi a robar. I unici episodi de furtarelli i era causadi da qualche zinghen de pasajo quando magari che se fermea le giostre in paese.

Le robe purtroppo le è cambiade, ma questo no vol assolutamente dir gnent… Se se à i strumenti par migliorar la sicurezza bisogna usarli e applicarli in tel territorio comunal e magari fazendo ordinanze che le vae ben par tut al territorio dove che i sindaci i à una idea comune come in tel caso de ste ultime elezion che le à decretà na svolta a centro destra sia a livel europeo che a livel local.

La svolta verso destra la à sicuramente un segnal forte e deciso da parte de la zent: qualcossa bisogna far par tornar meter le robe come che le iera. Volen sentirse sicuri a casa nostra e volen che chi che vien a "trovarne" i vegne solche se i a voia de far ben e no a far malegrazie!

Ma parchè la sinistra tirea sempre fora sta storia del razzimo quando che cerchen de usar i mezzi che ne mette a disposizion  la tecnologia?

Vorie veder mi col senno de poi se quele bestie che l'è à copà i do pensionadi a Gorgo se i fosse stadi schedadi, forse se varia podu' fermarli prima…

DENSE NA SVEJADA PRIMA CHE SIA MASSA TARDI.
