Quite frankly, anyone who hears you say anything should just say, “you’re an idiot”, and walk away.

The word Akita Inu has long been used to describe both breeds until their definitive split, so people who are not too into the breeds may still confuse the names and call the AA “Inu” or disregard the split completely. Other than the naming, there is no suggestion as to which breed the author is talking about. But you’re being presumptuous and you are not within your rights to claim it was one of the two breeds, when in fact, the name chosen in the post suggests it was the other. Nobody can know for sure until the author describes the dogs’ appearance, at the very least. He may be referring to either. And it is perfectly possible that Japanese Akitas did kill these dogs. All breeds are capable of dog aggression, some more than others, but no breed is exempt.

To the author of the original post: I’m sorry for your losses, but four incidents and you haven’t learned? How do you manage to blame the Akitas if somehow you keep allowing these situations to happen? After the first incident you should have had the idea to secure your garden and keep your dogs out of danger. If this happened once, okay, blame the Akitas or their owners. But it happened more than once, didn’t it? Those Akitas may be horrible dogs (not all Akitas, but the ones who attacked your dogs), but you knew that. And you did nothing to prevent future incidents.
Sorry, blame the dogs all you want, you’re the one who allowed subsequent incidents to happen.
